King Sabata Dalindyebo Fet College Courses Info,King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College is located in the Eastern Region of the Eastern Cape Province in the O.R TAMBO District municipality.
It is strategically positioned to serve the most rural areas of the Eastern and Northern Regions of the Eastern Cape Province in three District Municipalities ( O.R Tambo, Amathole and Chris Hani District).
King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College serves 28% of the Eastern Cape population. This region contains the highest concentration of unemployed young people
We are one of fifty (50) public TVET Colleges countrywide that specializes in priority skills development.
King Sabata Dalindyebo is one of eight TVET Colleges in the Eastern Cape Province. It has seven campuses. Three are in KSD Municipality namely Maphuzi, Mthatha and Zimbane campuses; the other two are in Nyandeni Local Municipality namely Libode and Mngazi Campus; Ngcobo Municipality has Ngcobo Campus and in Elliotdale there is a campus called Ntabuzuko in the Mbashe Local Municipality.
Students who study at KSD TVET College get a head start to a great career due to a focus on technical and vocational training programmes that are responsive and relevant to the develop of critical and scarce skills.
TVET Colleges are part of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) under the leadership of Minister Blade Nzimande. Universities of Technology and Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) form part of this ministry. The focus of the DHET is set on addressing the skills shortages of our country by steadily increasing the number of students enrolled and trained in priority and critical skills. Youth who are categorized as NEETs (that is Not in Education or Employment nor in Training) is the niche target market that the DHET wishes to equip with the requisite skills in order to address the triple challenge of poverty, unemployment and equity.
