Can i get matric results online
Where can we get the results?
Nervous about receiving your teen’s matric results? You can get easy access to them via a number of different options:
1. News24
You can get your results on News24’s Matric Results website: http://matricresults.news24.com/. Register now to receive an SMS the moment the results are released.
2. School
Schools will post results early. (Call first to make sure they’re there). This is the most fun as classmates can gather round and commiserate or celebrate together.
3. Newspapers
The results will be published in all major national newspapers. You’ll need to know your exam number, which will be used instead of your name.
4. Send a SMS
For state schools:
Register via SMS by sending your identity number followed by your exam number to 35658. After your registration has been successful you will receive your results. SMS’s cost R1.
For IEB results:
If you have already provided the IEB with your cell phone number, your results will automatically be sent to that number. You had to register before 20 December so if you haven’t yet, find the results online.
5. IEB and DoBE websites
- The IEB website will have the results from midnight Thursday 29 December (Friday morning).
- The Department of Basic Education’s website will have the partial results from 6:00 on the day.
Remember that your teen will need their exam number and bear in mind that website traffic will be high, so expect delayed response times.
6. Use the USSD service
Use the USSD service by dialling *120*35658#. After answering multiple questions, you are required to enter your ID number, after which you’ll receive your results per subject on the day. You will have the option to opt in or out to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act. USSD rates apply.
